ISO Electronic Rating Content

ISO Electronic Rating Content
ISO Electronic Rating Content is an alternate method for using ISO rating content. We designed ISO Electronic Rating Content in response to requests for a solution that can jump start initial development. Using ISO Electronic Rating Content simplifies ongoing maintenance and update efforts of ISO rating content while affording users the flexibility to employ their own tools and systems. The product is available to both carriers and policy administration system (PAS) vendors.

Key Features

Formatted file available for upload to any policy administration system — You chose the format you want, either Microsoft Excel or XML. The file contains the requisite rating data, such as valid limits, deductibles, advisory loss costs, and classification codes. It also contains important parent-child relationships within the data, so you can understand the line-of-business structure. Think of the savings in rekeying data alone!

Technical specifications file to show precisely how ISO implemented the functionality — The technical specifications detail the implementation-level details for how ISO supports:

premium calculations

forms attachment logic

statistical code assignment (according to ISO’s full statistical plan)

validation messages

ISO content supported by automated updates to loss costs, rules, and policy forms through ISOnetSM —You’ll receive timely automated updates direct from ISO. This feature provides a significant savings opportunity, as ISO typically makes 3,000 to 4,000 program changes per year in commercial lines alone.

Sample test case — You can use the sample test case to verify you receive the same results as ISO for the ISO base.
